Weekend For Wildlife

Welcome to the 2012 Weekend for Wildlife at Sea Island

Posted by Georgia DNR, Wildlife Resources Division on February 17, 2010

Now in its 24th year, the Weekend for Wildlife at Sea Island is a one-of-a-kind coastal getaway to one of Georgia’s most prestigious resorts. As a guest of this magnificent two-day event you will have the opportunity to participate in unique excursions led by wildlife biologists, as well as an exciting banquet and verbal auction featuring original artwork and exclusive opportunities. As you bask in the luxurious comforts of Sea Island’s amenities, you will, most importantly, serve as a VIP to nongame and endangered wildlife conservation. This program receives no state funding and is therefore dependent on federal funding and voluntary contributions.

We at the Georgia Department of Natural Resources invite you to take a look around the site and check back often as it is updated in preparation for this year’s event. You can also check out past Weekend for Wildlifes by visiting our YouTube page to see videos from both the reception and banquet events and then hop on over to our flickr page to see your individual photos from the event. We look forward to seeing you again this year, so make sure you bookmark this site to get all your updates for this year’s fabulous event and thanks again for supporting wildlife conservation in Georgia!
