First Lady Sandra Deal: Honorary Weekend for Wildlife Chairwoman
As a Hall County native and longtime resident, First Lady Sandra Deal has lived much of her life within sight of the Blue Ridge Mountains. She knows the natural rhythms and the wildlife of North Georgia. During her career as a school teacher, she even encouraged students to learn about the state’s native animals and plants, and why conserving them is important.
Georgia DNR is proud to welcome First Lady Sandra Deal as the 2012 chairwoman for Weekend for Wildlife.
“The wildlife and natural areas of North Georgia, and around the state, are an important part of our state’s heritage. We must care for these creatures and these places. Please join me in supporting Weekend for Wildlife, an event that is vital to wildlife conservation across Georgia.”
